So I happened to be checking out the officlal Google Video Blog and found this video with my new favorite TV host, Chelsea Handler. But this isn’t from The Chelsea Handler Show. Apparently she was/is also on Oxygen’s Girls Behaving Badly which I have never seen, but I am vaguely aware that there is such a show on the Oxygen network. Anyway the video clip is amusing.
And in the interest of completeness, I suppose I should mention there is some further video of Ms. Handler available over at her show’s website at E! Online.
There’s a relatively new show on E!, The Chelsea Handler Show. I hadn’t actually watched it until I just happened to see it come on last night. This show seems to be flying under the radar, as I had no idea what it even was until I watched it. And that’s a tragedy. This chick is the height of comedy.
I’m not sure how to describe what the show is, exactly. It’s sort of a sketch comedy/man on the street type thing. Sort of like a Tom Green Show but with copious amounts of wit. It’s really funny and everyone should watch it starting immediately.
I don’t really have a “type” as far as women go, but if I did I think Ms. Handler would be it. I’ve seen one half hour episode of her show, and yet I feel pretty confident that given the right circumstances I’d propose. A sense of humor like that in a girl is so attractive. Well, plus she’s not unpleasant to look at.
Anyway check out her show. It’s hy-fucking-sterical.
EDIT: corrected improper channel information - the show is on E! not VH-1
There is a parody of the Joss Wheden television show Angel, produced by a fan and distributed online. I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, but the trailer is available for download. I have high expectations. Will update more after I actually, ya know, watch it.
I recently moved into my new place, and I didn’t have a telephone. I have a telephone line, just not a telephone. I use Broadvoice VOIP service for my home phone number. It seems to work pretty well, although I had some dropouts when I used it at my last place but I think that may be due to the fact that broadvoice uses a pretty high bandwidth codec by default and there may have been issues with the shared nature of the cable modem connection I had.
Anyway, when I moved into my new place I didn’t have an actual telephone. My roomate was nice enough to loan me an old phone that he had. It worked fine, but unfortunately the ringer was broken so I couldn’t tell if people were calling me.
I was over at an associate’s place last night drinking, and one of his friends was there who I hadn’t met before. For some reason he had a van full of electronics for sale. I’m not sure why. But it just so happened that he had phones for sale, and I needed one, so I bought a new phone for $10 out of the back of this guy’s van. I’m not sure what kind of phone it is. It doesn’t have a brand on it, but it’s a two-line corded phone with speaker-phone, caller-id, and it looks like it has a built-in calculator although I don’t have batteries for it yet so I don’t know exactly how that works. It does say on the bottom that it was made in China, but I don’t suppose that narrows it down much since most telephones are probably made in China.
I guess not a bad deal for ten bucks. Out of the back of some guy’s van.
