Grooming Lounge Coming to Tyson’s

I happened to be looking at the web site for Tyson’s Galleria mall yesterday, and much to my surprise The Grooming Lounge is listed as “Coming Soon”. And sure enough, from checking their web site they do list a Tyson’s location opening this winter.

This is very exciting as I have stopped getting manicures owing to a lack of decent places to go. And K street is just a bit farther than I feel like going. So it will be convenient to have one closer to home.

Yeah...the thing is, I'm not sure if a "grooming lounge" really even counts as "metrosexual". All the K Street lobbyists have were getting manicures long before Queer Eye for the Straight Guy or any of that silliness.

On the shaving front - I've never been too particular about that. I just use the Gilette shaving gel and a Gilette Mach 3 disposable razor. I don't use after shave or anything like that. But the larger point about skin care is well taken. I'm a big believer in exfoliating early and often. Helps me keep from breaking out.

I would love for them to have a location in Baltimore, as I have to make do with a spa in my part of town. I will admit that I tend to purchase from them online, though. I am a huge believer in the metrosexual tools for shaving--shave oils, shave creams, and post-shave balms.

Nonetheless, I did discover that their location in DC is not far from a site where I was doing some work. I might have to stop by one time just to check it out in all its metrosexual glory.
